Starting 17th January, the Sky Battle Cup 2010 (SBC 2010) aims at recreating the spirit and ambiance of the legendary acclaimed Lowlands Cup and Speedbattle Cup.
Two races per week, every Sunday and every Thursday evening. Three months of racing. The 14 best results of each pilot will be selected for final scoring and ranking.
SBC 2010 will rely on the best available tools (Condor Club for scoring and DSHelper for CondorSim.fr servers management) and receives sustained support from the major Condor community actors.

PostFrontal introduces the new scenery West Alpi for Condor by Bluangel56 and a brand new race created to fully enjoy the spectacular features and size of it: the WEST ALPI CUP. The race uses the "open server" approach (you fly the tasks on-line whenever you want) already used with success for our Alpi 3 and Central Italy free Racing Servers. The competition features 5 different tasks to race and challenge the Mont Blanc's beautiful surroundings.
The first three pilots in the final ranking will win some beautiful Full Ballast technical clothing! The entries to the race closed on September 25th, we just have to wait a few days to see who will be the winner.

West Alpi covers a 96 thousands sq. Km area, with 307 x 312 Km sides. Thanks to a new algorithm developed by Bluangel56, West Alpi offers better details without affecting the FPS performance.
31 airports are included in the scenery, including the french gliding capitals: Saint Auban, St. Crépin, Fayence, Sisteron, Gap...

The official release of West Alpi will be on October 1st, the day after the end of the race.

The organizers of 2010 31th FAI World Gliding Championships in Prievidza will run a parallel virtual Condor competition with the same tasks, same scoring and similar weather.

Over the weekend the Condor forum has been upgraded and after three days of 'test flying' it, we are happy to say that everything looks ok.

In case your password does not work anymore, please use forum's option to reset it with a new one.

As we have been experiencing increasing instabilities with our current forum software lately, we are planning on upgrading it over the weekend with the new one. This means that in the time of the upgrade, forum will not be functional.

Tom Wilksch, a student at the University of South Australia, has designed a Portable Gliding Simulator based on Condor. The Simulator incorporates a wide curved screen, full working controls, working instrumentation and head tracking. It is portable and can be easily towed behind a small family car.
